We are pleased to introduce Nida Köktan, who has become a source of inspiration for girls and young people in our country and in other countries through the video she produced within the scope of the ENGIE Project.

ABOUT THE ENGIE PROJECT AND YEŞİM YILDIRIM

Within the scope of the ENGIE Project, we are honored and proud to introduce Yeşim Yıldırım, who responded to our call by recording a video and became a source of inspiration for girls and young people in our country and in other countries. It is very important to us that she represents the Turkish Flag among the other 20 countries participating in the project. Thank you for your efforts, and we wish you continued success.

We would also like to thank our valued colleagues Nida Köktan and Yeşim Yıldırım, who represented our country through the documentary that was selected and published within the ENGIE Project by being among the most viewed and most liked videos.

As of 15 April 2021, videos will begin to be uploaded to ENGIE’s YouTube channels. Content from the top 5 most-liked videos on ENGIE’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube channels will be used in the production of a documentary film about women in earth sciences and geoengineering, which is planned to be released in December 2021. We look forward to your support during this process.

RESULTS OF THE ENGIE PROJECT PHOTO CONTEST

The results of the ENGIE Project photo contest have been announced. Among 94 photographs, the top 10 photos with the most likes were first determined by public voting, and then a jury composed of world-renowned geologists selected the top 3. The 1st and 2nd places were awarded to entries from Türkiye. We congratulate Defne Işık and Ceren Güven, who continue their education at Denizli/ODTÜ GV Private Denizli Schools, on their achievements. We sincerely thank everyone who supported the contest.

2020

  • On 03 May 2020, a presentation was given to Ankara Eğitim Kurumları College students about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • On 02 May 2020, a presentation was given to Sınav School students about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • On 21 October 2020, a presentation was given to Sınav School students about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • In 2020, a presentation was given to students in Bursa Harmancık about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • On 17 December 2021, a presentation was given to Beysukent College students at the MTA Museum about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

2022

  • On 22–23 February 2022, our association member Yasemin Kozak gave a presentation to Bursa / Bil-FEN Schools students about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • On 03 March 2022, our colleague Arzu Başköy gave a presentation to Artvin / Murgul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • On 25 April 2022, our association member Yasemin Kozak gave a presentation to Bursa / Uludağ College Schools students about basic information on geology and mining, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.

  • On 07 July 2022, at 15 Temmuz Şehitler Anatolian High School in Düzce, a seminar on Geology and Mining was delivered by our members Alp İlhan, Zehra Deveci Aral, and Yonca Yıldırım Çörtenlioğlu, who serve in the Association’s executive bodies.

  • On 26 September 2022, Özgül Boyuneğmez gave a talk titled “Gold Mining” to students of Kayseri / Develi – Seyrani Primary School, and information was provided about the ENGIE Project.
